When you're searching for a restaurant to bring to family to, give a thought to Mesa Bar & Cafe. They open early and stay up late, and there's something on the menu for the whole family. Try Javier's French Toast for breakfast, or the Mesa Fish Tacos for lunch, or the Cajun Jambalaya for dinner. Your kids will love the Homemade Chocolate Cake or the warm Apple Pie for dessert. If you can never get enough of the beach, you'll want to have a meal or three at the Shoreline Beach Cafe, where the food is even better than the ocean view.
Take the Santa Barbara Trolley Tour, where you can either get a 90-minute overview of the entire American Riveria, or you can hop on and off at your heart's desires! You'll see more places than you can count, like the Santa Barbara Harbor, the Santa Barbara Zoo, and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. You might want to jump off the tour and visit a couple of these places as you pass by! They're all great places to take the family for a couple hours of fun.
If you want a nice and quiet day on the beach, your best bet is Leadbetter Beach. With cozy picnic areas, soft sand, and plenty of room, it's the peak family experience that you're looking for when you head down to the water. If you have a dog, consider heading to Arroyo Beach, where you can let your four-legged family members off the leash to splash around and have fun with the kids. If you want to go bike riding (a great family activity), head over to Butterfly Beach, where the bike path is abundant with flowers and butterflies, right along the water.
