France is coming to Santa Barbara in 2017 from July 15th to the 16th. For the 29th year, Oak Park in the center of Santa Barbara will be transformed into a celebration of everything French. The French Festival in Santa Barbara has been a local favorite for years because of the unparalleled energy that it features. Here are some of the things that you should expect this year!
One of the biggest aspects of the festival, as with any cultural celebration is the amazing food options that will be rampant throughout the park. This includes some of the most classic of French delicacies like Napoleons, crepes, croissants and so much more. And of course, no French festival would be complete without a wide array of delicious wine options.
While you are enjoying these wonderful wines paired with delicious foods, you can enjoy a wide variety of entertainment. There will be three stages that will be offering nonstop excitement from 11 am to 7 pm. Performances are put on by over 30 different groups that will be singing, playing music, dancing, offering tango instruction and much more. Some of the most uniquely French aspects of these performances will be the Can-can, burlesque, and accordions. You can also enjoy arts and crafts, parades, and more.
Perhaps the best part of this classic event is that admission is free to all! This is one of the most epic celebrations of Bastille Day outside of France itself. But you do not have to be French to enjoy a day of delicious food, great entertainment, and good energy at Bastille Day in Santa Barbara. Don't forget to book a Santa Barbara vacation rental to enjoy plenty of upcoming festivals!
