The weather is nearly perfect here year-round, and locals take advantage of that in a big way, spending as much time outside as they do inside. Ventura has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, offering water activities like kite boarding, kite surfing, swimming, snorkeling, and so much more! The beaches are dog friendly, so if you left your fur babies at home and are missing them terribly, you can head to a Ventura beach for a quick hug and a pet-just ask their owners if its ok, first!
One of our favorite things to do in Ventura is shopping, and for good reason, Ventura might just be the shopping capital of the world! Ok, we may be exaggerating just a tad, but there ARE hundreds of places for you to get your shopping on while visiting our favorite village! Souvenir shops, antique stores, yarn boutiques, book stores and clothing boutiques-if you can't find what you like here, you just aren't looking hard enough! We even have the Antique and Vintage Stove Shop, a store that specializes in antique stoves! They sell, restore, and repair of old gas stoves from the 1920s through the 1960s.
Children of all ages will love Ventura's family friendly atmosphere. Multiple parks, boat rides around the harbor, tours of the Channel Islands, and water parks are all adventures geared towards the enjoyment of today's families. Corey Kruseman's Sprint Car Midget Driving School offers an opportunity to learn how to drive a real race car, only on a smaller scale!
